Default Radio Swap

Good Evening Everybody! I have a 2002 F150 Lariat Supercab and it currently has the factory AM/FM/Cassette radio. I have an opportunity to get a factory AM/FM/CD radio from a 2003 Mustang. Does anyone know if it will fit? I have only seen a picture of the face of the unit and while it looks the same, I did not see the 2 holes on each side for releasing the "locking tabs"
Thank You All!

I'm guessing not but BECAREFUL if you go with a digital aftermarket. Why?
Because I bought one and I can't see it in the daytime.
There's a reflection that will not go away. I have to move my hand to try and SHADE the area to see and I still can't see it. The company knows about it and will do nothing about it.
The radio works fine, I just can't see the digital. Junk

Which digital did you install in your vehicle? What is the model number?

The plugs look the same from what I'm seeing, but I think the Mustang is held in with bolts (better idea) instead of the dumb "locking tabs" on the sides. I'm guessing you could make it work somehow.

Is it the 6CD unit? Their favorite thing to display on the screen is "Load Error".

There are screen shades (for lack of a better term) for that. Keeps your hand rested.

That aside, I wonder if the F150 radio frame is made to take screws? I’m sure it can be done if need be.
