Default Radio stuck in dash

I am trying to get my radio out of my dash but the keys can only get the left side out and the right side is still stuck. Does anybody know how to get it out?

stick both keys in and push out on both sides while pulling. It's a pita.

I tried that with no luck. Is there an alternate method perhaps?

At this point the blow torch sounds like a good idea.

Never tried this so it's a shot in the dark. Could you get it out by reattaching the left side and then trying the right. Or get a partner and press both in at the same time?

Had this problem with the wife's escape radio. Just went to town with the keys, ended up bending one but finally forced the radio out don't know how I got it cz when I pulled it out the one tab was broken and bent the wrong way... That's what was keeping the key from pushing it out and letting it go easily. Just give it a break, come back to it later and don't stop fighting it. Best advice I can give

Thank you I am going to try it again tomorrow. Did (does) the broken tab effect removing the radio after the new one is installed?

If you're putting in an after market radio and dash kit then don't worry about it. I broke a couple tabs on my stock radio while doing the swap
