Default quick towing question

I have a 2003 f150 4x4 ext cab. 4.6 with towing package. stock size tires (112k on motor and trans)runs perfect.

Im moving from PA back to NC and I have a 89 ford bronco 4x4(pretty much gutted just 2 seats that's it. 5speed with manual transfer case shifter).

Im only one person so I was wondering if I could tow that be hide the f150 with lil to no problems. Ive towed before just not 600 miles, I called uhaul and they don't have a fullsize car hauler so id have to use a tow dolly. The only problem I see is the weight of bronco and it has 35s on it. I have spare rims I can put on front so the straps would fit over tires.

I was wondering my gas mileage would be and if it is even possible to do. I know remove rear drive shaft off bronco. MY real question is will the bronco even fit on uhaul tow dolly.

What's the weight of the bronco, and the car hauler. Also is your trans auto or manual, if it's auto it's a four speed. And do you know what gearing you have in the rear end. Last question, does it have the factory tow package with trans cooler? I know I'm asking allot but you need to know all of this when it comes to this big of a load.

Looked it up and a 89 Bronco weighs around 5k. You'll be fine. Your MPG will suffer. We can't tell you what it will be, there are way to many variables. If I said 5-15mpg I'd probably be in the right area.

This site will show you what your truck can handle- http://www.fordf150.net/specs/03f150.php

As tackle said the trucks about 5000 plus about 1000-2000 depending on what your using to haul it. Your gonna be near the top of your tow range, but you'll be fine, just take it easy. And I asked about the trans cooler because of you don't have one, it is a smart idea. EDIT: I just noticed your using a dolly, that cuts back on weight a good amount. And as tackle said you'll be in the low mpg's, anywhere from 5-15.

I'd like to point out that the car dolly is usually for FWD vehicles

Remove drive shaft. No issues.

my f150 has LSD 3.73s and the full tow package. I just ordered a new transmission cooler.... Im doing a full over haul, transmission filter change and fluid, oil and filter too.

Im hoping the bronco will fit on the dolly. I tried to get a car hauler but there isn't one in the area I can get. so im stuck with dolly. I know the straps wont fit over 35s so im thinking about letting all or most of the air out of them and pulling rear driveshaft. what can I put in transfer case tail shaft to keep fluid in bronco??

I hoping my mpg will be around 9 or higher. Beings my bronco is pretty much gutted I hope its only 4500lbs.

I don't think any 4.6's came with 3.73

Just a FYI! my truck did it! pulled a bronco with it fully packed full of our stuff on a 6k auto hauler Uhaul trailer, didn't like the mountains too much but 700 miles. I got 13.6mpg the whole trip.

That's good mpg. I fell below 12 pulling a 5 x 8 U-Haul 800+ miles, but bucked 50+ mph winds a few weeks back. Truck wouldn't stay in 6 on a flat road due to the wind. I was also doing 70.
