Quick RCD Lift Question?
#11
Rancho kit is hard to find. Its similar to the RCD kit where are it 4r70 or E4OD/4R100 specific. The steering and suspension geometry is very close to factory. It still has a slightly wider track with. The good side is that it uses a 1 piece cross member. The downside is its typically a pain to install because bothe front cross members have to go in at one time. The other down side is it 4" ford the cost of 6"

Yeah, Ive noticed its a hard kit to find. I've been looking for the last year or so. I see them surface as new, old stock from time to time. I had settled on the rcd as a go between, but after your enlightenment I guess its either a rancho or zone. Haha Its one of those things, I like lift kits, but I don't need a monster truck. I also know how much it sucks to drive ones that have the front geometry thrown off. That's why its very important to me yo get it right. What would be different from a 5.4 and 4.6 f150 lift kit? I've found a couple ranchos, but they say 5.4 only. I can't think of anything that would be different suspension wise other than in some cases the rear axle? Maybe the brake lines?

I don't see why it wouldn't work on my truck though, since the lift doesn't come with torsion bars. Wonder if it has something to do with how the trans is mounted? Only throwing that out there because I've seen some ranchos come with some sort of trans brackets. Even though in most cases it's the same trans.

An once again you show how uneducated you are. Anything made by TransAmerican is cheap chinese crap. Keep you 2 cents to yourself if you dont have the facts. I promise you I could break those u bolts with my little 3/8" impact.
