Default Quick RCD Lift Question?

Just curious has any one ever had there hands on this lift for our model trucks? I've installed a couple lifts, but I've never had my hands on this one. I'm just curious about how well they maintained the front geometry. I know you don't have to have a 6" lift to maintain the correct geometry, just curious if they got it right with the 5".

Not very well at all. Steering geometry is close. But its only a 3.5" drop for the diff and the rest comes from cranking. The best 4" is a Rancho, oherwise go a full 6" or just leave it alone. You'll hate the way it rides.

Fabtech and BDS are great. Zone is the same as BDS. RCD is decent but the CV angles and the way it rides are a bit rough. Rough Country, Tuff Country, Pro-comp are garbage.

That's what I wanted to know. I've driven trucks that had the front geometry off and they suck to drive. I guess Ill just do the zone. Thanks for the help!

But if all I wanted was 3-4 inches the RCD kit with an add-a-leaf, or shorter block out back, would work with the correct geometry?

No. Because it was design to be a 5" kit. Its very hard to get the alignments back to spec if its not cranked to close to 5"

Yeah that's the only thing I've heard about the zone, is the ubolts are weak. Figured I'd go with some fabtech ones if they won't be to long.

They all use the same cheap u bolts. Best thing to do is to cintact a local spring company. They'll make you a better bigger u-bolt. I upgraded to 5/8" ubolts and spring plates. Much better than the 7/16" or 1/2" you will get form fabtech.

Okay.. Ive got one more question for you, or for that matter anybody else that would know. What do you know about the rancho lift? Seems to be a nice kit. How close to being correct geometry is it?
