Oh yeah, while you're at it, you might want to paint everything behind it black too. I didn't do that, and am going to end up going back to to that. Radiator, AC condensor, PS and oil cooler, and the sheet metal. I'm going to use flat black for that. I used gloss black for the grill.

Tabs. There's several along the top and bottom, and one on each end. It snaps out. They're sort of fragile though, I ended up breaking the ones on each end.

You think I could just mask it all off and paint it w/o removing the insert?

You can mask it off but it's better to remove it. I removed mine and never broke a tab, but it wasn't cold weather when I did mine. I'd use krylon fusion for plastic in like satin black

Yeah, the 97 you have to cut a bunch of sh*t out and it takes a while I guess, im just going to take off the grill shell and mask it all off and paint it. Well im gonna go get some lunch and paint. Lol. Brb!
