I was looking over the summit racing site and was thinking how to add more horsepower without doing any heavy mods. Looked into a k&n cold air intake, undrive pulleys, heard throttle body spacer is useless, replace coils and plugs(any suggestions?), longtube headers and full exhaust, debating on edge evolution programmer. If anyone has anymore ideas let me know. Its a 4.6l with only 130km. And gears are on there way 3.73

 

The absolute best bang for your buck is a programmer with custom tunes, none of those mods will give you the power the programmer will, but if you put them all togther they all compliment each other.

GET THE PROGRAMMER DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT

 

I was looking at your truck, i must say one of the cleanest looking trucks. very nice.
But i was thinking the same, what programmer are you running and how hard was it to program?

 

I bought a edge cs cause I wanted the dash mount capability for all the gauges it has, and then ordered custom tunes through power hungry performance, they are the only tuners who offer custom tunes for the edge platform, I've also heard very good things about the sct and diablosport programers. Do some searching on all of them and you'll find what your looking for.

Was looking at edge evolution with 4 settings already, know anything about them? I dont know if it can be custom tuned.

 

I wouldn't buy a edge evolution you have to go through alot more to get them custom tuned, the edge cs and cts are the same except the cts is touch screen. For our year trucks they come with 3 canned tunes, transmission only, 87 octane tow, and 91-93 octane extreme. If your gonna get the edge, order a cs or cts and then you can just order your custom tunes through php.

Came with the gears has the max tow package and its an fx4 not sure which one added it, but it has axle code B6.

I am not sure about my code cause the tag has a a bit of rust on it and cant make it out. The benefits of living up north woo salt 5 months of the year.

 

Get the EDGE Cs or Cst.. but get the Gryphon version from Powerhungryperformance so you don't have to have it converted later and then when you want custom tunes you don't have to send it in....... Trust me, it's worth it.

And why did you buy 3.73 gears? If you 4wd, your atleast 3.55, and going to 3.73 isn't going to be much of an improvement and besides the price of getting gears installed front and rear is rediculous.
