Default questions?

Hey guys i have a couple of questions,
First, i have a 2002 fx4 and i was wondering if the fx4 package came with 3.73 gears?
Second, every time i hit a bump when im driving there is a ticking sound that comes from the rear or at least thats what it sounds like its coming from
Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Check the inside door sticker on drivers side. You will see it say axle, below that it will say H9=3.55 or B6=3.73.
99% sure thats right, someone correct me if im wrong.

Theres not going to be a huge difference between the two gear ratios. I towed my brothers 85 dodge ram across the city on a tow dolly and had zero problems. I dont think towing a lawn mower/ 4 wheeler will even phase an F150, youll be fine.

These trucks come with a tow package for a reason

I have 3.55s

I think all FX4's in F150 come with 3.73 gears in a 9.75" diff. I tow about 2-3 times a week with my truck (3.55 & no FX4). No problems.
