Hello, I am looking for the part number and name of the missing splash shield that goes from under the radiator to the frame crossmember.
Is this a metal or plastic shield?
It's OEM...might be an, - 'off-road' package item. Haven't seen a 4x4 without that shield yet.
Not standard clip nuts inside the frame rail. More of a plate nut. The plate fits the frame rail channel. Installed from the front of the frame. No clip, they slide in. I don't think you can remove those with the front bumper in place...
The cross over might be clip nut fasteners.
Salvage yard, pick up the shield and hardware in one shot.
With it on, in order to change your oil filter your front tires have to be straight ahead to slightly turned left. With it off if you've got your wheels turned a little to the right you can wiggle it out the front.... With it on you've got no option it's got to come out the side. Yeah, it gets to be a little bit of a hassle when you're hands are oily.. and now you've got to turn your tires.... Or take the skid plate off.... Because you forgot
On my 89 Toyota 4x4, the front skid plate had to come off to change the oil filter. I ended up just leaving it off. It was a pain because it always held mud. It's not unusual to take things like that off and just leave them off so they get lost from vehicles. I left the front skid plate off of an Isuzu trooper too for the same reason.
In any case, if your truck ever had one, you'd have clip nuts on the crossmember, so it doesn't look like it did
True story, My 4Runner shield is in my garage
I love discarding the damn skid plates, Hell, some Jeeps have skid plates that hold over a quart of oil
If I go wheeling or deer hunting, I put the skid plate back on
