Default Question about offset

I want too get new 16inch rims (I am thinking about the MB TKOs) and I want to have my tires stick out just about an inch or a little more for more of an aggressive look. To be honet I dont really undersand offset of rims, so what offset will have my tires stick out just little bit?

A lot...unless you get like 12 inch wide wheels you will have to run wheel spacers to get that far out

Look for something with a lower offset , like -48, negative numbers cause the wheel to stick out typically, and positive offset usually tucks it in the wheel well. But if I were you I'd get a smaller offset like -12 and a set of good wheel spacers, unless you want the deep-dish look of a wheel with a very low offset.
