Default Projector headlight problems

So I bought some used projector headlights for my truck used online they look good on my truck but the lows suck at and the highs melt the lenses and aren't really that bright either so I'm pretty much relying on my fog lights at night so any thoughts on a bright bulbs with low heat for my high beams

ive heard of alot of peoples doing that, and having to cut stuff out to make them fit. if i were you i would just return those from where you got them, order some lightning lenses (the clear ones) off ebay an put 8K 55watt HID's in them. you can get headlight an fog HID's for like $120 I think. I have 8K HID headlights an love them, awesome light output an very bright.

Yea I put brand new ones in on my truck...If they wheren't such a pain to put in and i didn't lenthen my wires and everything i would have sent them back.... The highs are great for just looking way down the road but there are nealy no peripheral lights on the side of the road..So if a big dear or hog jumped out i would be screwed. I'm just going to get some wide after market fog lights to cover the sides.

Yeah, I was unimpressed with the narrow field of view with my projectors so I fitted 55w 6k HIDs to the high beams and the fogs and I wired the fogs to stay on with the high beams also, so the spread is filled in pretty good... I deliberately haven't put HIDs in the dipped beams as I was worried it would make the shaded area to the sides seem even worse...

Idk what brand mine are but they were a pain to put in I had to have another person help me push on them to get them in all the way and the passenger side blinker isn't actually hooked into the light since it rubs I had to put tape on it to keep it in and they aren't very bright but they look good on my truck
