So - nothing aiding performance has been done to the truck so far (neither of those two mods adds any power, and that money would have probably almost completely paid for the single best bang-fer-buck mod that would).

For actual tangible gains, you need a good set of custom tunes delivered by a capable SCT flash programmer. Avoid dead-end canned programmers.

Recommend SCT X4 from MPT. You get a forum discount. Their forum handle is 'MorePowerTuning'. Give 'em a shout - great fellers.

good luck

Salut!

^Bingo. Increasing power is not cheap, and a tuner w/ custom tunes is the biggest bqng for your buck. Wont increase it immensely, but as I said... power doesn't come cheap. You can also do the Gotts to open up the intake tube a bit, and the zip tie mod to take the slack out of the throttle cable.

Other than that, if you want significant gains, then say bye bye to your wallet, that's for sure.

On a carborated or throttle body injected engine it could help with fuel atomization, giving a little more power.
On a multi port fuel injected engine, it makes the engine whistle and your wallet lighter.
