ok guys so i thinnk im gunna go wtih the sct xcal 3 for my 4.2 and im jus wanderin for you guys that already have the xcal 3 wat power and wat mpg did yall gain or what i should expect from it

I have 99 XLT 5.4 4X4. bought custom tunes from 5 star tuning. mike told me that in eco tune would experience loss of gas mileage because truck was not programmed by Ford for the amt of ethanol currently in gas. Mileage went from about 15.3 around town to 14.5. The HUGE difference is in smoothness of trans in all modes (eco, tow, performance). Performance is noticeably better in performance mode; on ramp and lane shift acceleration is smoother and faster, but i have not tried to "chirp" the tires so can't comment on that. On the overall improvement in engine trans performance, it was worth the cost and 5 star was very fast in responding to questions and providing the product.
