Default programmer

hey guys I did some searching on here and couldn't really find anything. I wanna put a programmer on my truck and was looking into the edge evolution. The only thing is I couldn't find it for the 97-03 models. Is there not one? My truck is a 98 4.6 ext. cab. is anyone running this themselves? Please help

Get the Edge, it's worth it. Yes they have the Evo for the 97-03, you may have to check ebay or other performance dealers. They may have just stopped selling them on their site but they have the upgraded models of the Edge which is Edge CS and Edge CTS.. if you plan on doing motor mods in the future, you might want to look into getting a Gryphon which is a custom built Edge programmer for PHP (Powerhungryperformance) and Bill does custom tunes for our trucks. I got alot of power from my Gryphon.

Edge and SCT X3's are most popular for the F150 it seems. Depends on what you want out of it.

Does the Diablo have the different settings for like performance and towing and economy? And does it add a good bit of power?

You dont need to run higher octane, usually at least with the SCT X3 units, you get a specific tune for whatever octane you choose. I run a 93 Octane Race tune in my 06 GT track car but it's a fairly heavily built car with different compression ratios then stock.

For a stock or near stock car/truck, you can run whatever you want. I have a 87 MPG tune on my 04 DD car.
