What is the best programer for a 2001 5.4 for a reasonable price?

 

Best is a relative term. It's whatever fits your needs is best for you. There are two better ones, one has gauges the other doesn't. The better ones are SCT's Xcal 3 (custom tuned) or Power Hungry Performance's Gryphon. Both are going to be in the $400 range.
