Just got the edge programmer this weekend. Kind of disappointed because didn't know til I opened the package that it didn't do gear ratio and tire changes for mechanical speedo's but I'm looking for some tune changes that have worked for some guys. there are so many options to change a don't want to just start changing things. Anyone had any luck with specific tune changes?

 

Almost positive that no programmer/tuner can do gear ratio and tire changes for a 97-98 if that is what you have. It's mechanical only.... I think you can buy the gear to change it or something like that? You can search the forum it's on here.

 

yes you would have to have the different gear(as in gear that is on the end of the speedo cable)... might have to do some calculations to accomidiate tire size..

 

Yeah I had to do that on my 89 mustang too. I'm trying to toy with the performance now and want some ideas on where to start with it.
