Default Problems with No Muffler..?

Hey everyone.

I have an 03 scab 4.6 4x4. I was out at the local quarry the other night having a fire, drinking some beers, having a good time. Then...I backed over a little tree, and it knocked my exhaust system loose. Muffler came off the pipe I have coming off the cat, and I broke the hangars I had on the tailpipe off as well.

So, what I'm left with right now is no muffler and I REALLY like the way it sounds. It rumbles at an idle, but quiets down when cruising. I don't want to leave it dumping right under my cab though...so I'm thinking about just doing a pipe right off the cat.

Anyone have any problems with doing this? Or can you think of any issues it might cause with my engine? I would think since its passed the cat it cant cause any problems. (btw I just passed inspection before it fell off, so I'll be good there for a while)

Thanks in advance!

I had it a few years back just piped out in front of passenger rear tire. No issues.

You will be fine with no muffler. I ran mine like that for a while.

Red-Ford,

I should have stated I ran over the tree BEFORE I started to drink, and on top of that I only had 3 so I was good to go.
