Default Prerunner bar

Anyone that has a prerunner bar, how do they attach to the front end? I love the look of them and think that it would be a nice addition to my truck and I found one off a 2004 and wondering if they would fit our style trucks or maybe take a little fab work to get them to fit.

I believe they attach to the frame where the stock tow hooks go

The photos that I see it doesnt look like there is any mounts and is just held there by luck. For sure there is nothing that goes down as far as the tow hooks, the grille guards mount there. I dont know if they just drill into the bumper or what?

This is the prerunner bar from an 04 that I wanto to get to fit my 01 but the bars will need to be changed http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/pts/2813691131.html I just dont know where to attach them. I have a body lift and the tow hooks are lower than normal so bringing them down that far wouldnt work.
