power windows
Yep.......removed the panels ( a pia getting into the back seat) but once I pulled on that cable it opened. Sure enough, that plastic piece was toast. I'll be ordering the repair kit.....
My driver's window has no cables except electrical they are power. And have a motor attached to the window regulator. And they use the same regulator assembly and add a gearbox for manual crank. They haven't used cables to raise and lower. Now the electrical harness has a weak spot in the door jam and goes thru 3 male female connectors behind the driver's side kick panel. Why I really don't know cus it only needs 1. The driver's door gets the most use and the harness boot is not designed correctly so over time the wire's get damaged.
The harness on 10th Feb trucks is almost dead even alignment if the holes were offset then the cables would flex in a different way being dead center it puts a strain on the harness when door is opened all the way.. being offset they Could have more flexibility and accordian inside the door jam
