power and suspension help
I just recently bought a 2003 ford f150 supercrew it has the 5.4 motor. I was thinking about doing some minor things to the engine i want to get a little bit extra power out of it. I was thinking about a cold air intake, a throttle body spacer, and exhaust? Do you think those are worth the money and will i get noticeable power gain?
Also I want to get torsion keys i was just wondering if those will cause any problems down the road.

I'll give you my opinion and experience.
Do you offroad/mud? If you do, CAI is no bueno. Open filter will suck in water and dirt.
If you don't, I'd just suggest doing the "Gotts mod" you can google it and come up with the link. It's just modifying the stock intake to a bigger diameter opening to allow more airflow and replacing the stock filter with a K&N drop in. I went and found the link for you.

Throttle body spacer is an expensive paper weight, they do nothing.
Exhaust can help open up airflow, instead of buying a cat-back kit for $300 some odd dollars I'd suggest finding a muffler of your choice and tip and having a exhaust/muffler shop weld it up for you. It's much cheaper.
Your best bet on power gain and money well spent would be on a good tuner/programmer. EDGE/GRYPHON would be my advice to you. Gryphon is just a rebadged EDGE for Bill at Powerhungryperformance. He can do custom tunes for you, or you can keep the canned tunes that come on it. It's a great tuner and I absolutely love mine. Adds power, monitor different specs on your truck, check codes, clear codes. It's pretty sweet. I used it last night to clear a CEL.
I have aftermarket keys on my truck and I had mine cranked a bit nose high and it caused me problems on ripping my cv boot. And then had to replace my cv axle completely. I lowered my torsion bars down to level my truck and have gone muddin' a few times pretty hard and my cv boot has not ripped and my cv axle is fine. But you can level your truck for free by cranking the factory torsion bars up. It will do the same thing as aftermarket keys. Look under the cab of your truck almost directly under the door and there's a crossmember with 2 bolts. Crank those and it will lift the frontend. Alot of people just crank the factory torsion keys and have had no problems.
Good luck.
