The 60$ guess was with fluid and all lol. I guess I should have said that. And with the trouble I'm having with the bank (first post) the cheeper I can do this for now, the better I just need my truck back on the road asap

To get the pump off the block, there are four 10mm bolts. I don't remember the hose connection sizes.
One bolt is hidden under the high pressure hose.
I used about 15" of extensions to get to the bolts.

Don't forget about the 1/2" breaker bar for the belt tensioner.

Bleed your system after replacing the pump. There's a few good youtube videos on the subject.

Did you try changing the fluid? If it is like you say.... not really bad, then fluid change might just be all you need.

No I have not tryed that. Fluid seem good not black burnt or anything. I guess I could try this first, if everyone thinks it may help. Only downside I see is losing all the fluid when/if I have to change the pump.

The pump is over a decade and a half old, just change the pump with a new / reman one and flush and be done with it for another ten years

I only use actual Power Steering Fluid. I am pretty partial to the stuff made by Prestone.
