Default Possibly upgrading!

Im looking into upgrading from my 02 Fx4 126,000miles to this 2008 fx4 123,000miles. What are your guys opinions on our generation vs the new? If I do get this truck for a reasonable price i already have my truck sold for 8 grand. Also from what I have calculated to fix it is a little over a grand. Cowl induction hood, fender, new HID heads, radiator support, etc.....

Is that 08 totaled? If so I wouldn't even consider it, personally.

I'm thinking it is going to cost you a lot more than a grand to fix the truck pictured, but if you can fix everything on it for a grand why not!

I bought the 97-03 gen and not the 04-08 gen because of the problems with 3v engine (e.g. cam phasers, spark plugs etc).

The frame rail is bent a little on passenger side, a little pull and ill have a bullbar on it in no time... It is a clean title btw. I have a pass. side head and grill in the shop, everything else new is about 1150 from what me and my dad calculated. It all depends on how much it goes for at auction. Ive heard nothing but bad about traction control on the newer trucks. Ive heard some tuners can eliminate it. That true?

No problems like that with the 08's.

I have been doing a lot of research and for what ive heard the 04 to 08s rarely had traction control. Did any of the fx4s have traction control? From what i have seen the lariats were the only trucks in these years. Is all of that true?

Blown bags will likely give it a salvage title, so those values aren't of real value.
