Unhappy Please help me with headlights!

So I bought my 97 lariat in January from a neighbor moving to Alaska who needed to get rid of it. I've known them since I was little, so they told me I could have this nice looking f150 for one thousand dollars. I sold my 86 Nissan pick up the next day and bought the truck the day after. Since then, the truck has been good to me, and has taught me a lot about auto matinence and repair, because the darn thing has been having one problem after another. (Only complaining a pinch.) The newest problem is with the headlights.

They won't come on. Period. The switch doesn't work, the auto lights won't activate. (the little indicator light turns on when it's dark, but the lights don't.) If I pull the turn signal switch, the high beams turn on, but if I push it to lock the highs on, no good. The left turn signal works perfect, but to use the right signal, I have to hold the switch half way up.

The right signal has always been that way, but the headlights have only been an issue the last week. I pulled the bulbs, they're fine. Fuses, fine. Relays, fine.

What do I do next? Anyone else had this problem? Is it the turn signal switch? And if so, do I need to replace it or can I work some magic on it?

I pulled the headlights and they're fine, I stuck them in my buddys 98 and they worked fine. And I think it'd be pretty weird if they both went out at the same time.

Sounds like you need a new switch. Get that checked out and go from there.

The headlights go through the multifunction switch on the steering column. It is malfunctioning so it needs to be replaced anyways.
