Default Please help me.

Hey veteran ford owners, and everybody else. I just recently bought a 1998 f-150 2wd extended cab 3 door truck with the 4.6 v6 automatic. The truck has 153,000 original miles, and running great and strong. The ac was out and I was told by a mechanic that it was the blower motor. It was true. I changed the motor and now the ac works!.......on hi only. Now that's no issue and I know the reason being is because the resistor is bad. But the thing that is killing me is that when its on hi, it blows like if its on low. It's not strong at all. So I'm stumped. No there isn't anything stuck in the vent IE BAG, PAPER, ETC. the air is cold, and it switches to hot no problem. But, the air is not strong, and I need to fix it because I have a 7 month old daughter, and Hawaii is super hot and humid at this time of year. Please help, thank you for your time and consideration.

Check to make sure it's not coming out of the defroster vents and floor vents. That would cause the dash vents to be weak.
BTW does the blows motor sound like its on high speed?

X2 could be as simple as a vacuum leak.

Dirty Evap core. Not a fun job. Hopefully it's not your issue but it could be.

I'm not sure what it's supposed to sound like I'm the trucks, but when it's on, it sounds like a damn shop vac, it's super loud, and the air is cold, but the strength is weak. It's not coming out of the defroster vents or floor, because when I switch it to those options, the flow from the panels stop, and goes to the corresponding option I chose.

Where would I start for the vacuum leaks on an ac system?

I was told by a friend who does fords, that it could be that, and that I have to remove the dash, and get to the plenum, then to the evap core, which is probably really dirty because the truck is old, and the dirt out here really gets into everywhere.

If it is switching between the different vents readily then it more than likely isnt a vacuum leak. Sounds like like this may be a dirty fix.
