Default "A" Pillar Grab Handle

My 98 two wheel drive has a grab handle next to the windshield on the passenger side. On 4X4's there is one on both sides. I can see that mine is secured to the "A" pillar with screws (machined) which go into the "A" pillar so it is strong and secure. Likely into a reinforced threaded nut type area.
Are these reinforced areas on both sides of the common cab ? Would All I need to do is get a driver's side "A" pillar cover which has the grab handle ?
Thanks, .

First you would need to take off the original a pillar moulding and see if it is tapped with the threads needed to install the moulding, then you can go from there. i will post a pic of what those look like later

This what you should see tapped into the pillar. If it doesn't have them you wound need to drill a hole and put these in.

Thanks so much. Dose that pillar moulding just pull/pop off ? Are used Expeditions also a possible source for driver's side grab handles ?

yeah the just pop off, but you need some leverage, if you can get a clip removal tool, it will come in handy for removing any kind of moulding and clips. you can pick one up at your local auto store
