Hey everyone, I have a 2001 F-150 Lariat with 155,000 miles on it, that just blew out the spark plug on cylinder #8. I was wondering if there are any alternative replacement heads(possibly performance heads) that I could replace the current head with, to help minimize the possibility of this happening again in the future.

Also is there any other alternative ways of fixing this issue, other than replacing the head?

I had the #7 plug blow out. It was the middle of March so brought it to a shop that installed a heli-coil kit. He drilled and tapped a new hole, then installed a threaded insert to create new threads for the spark plug. With a new plug and coil, the final bill was $350 and two days without the truck.
