Are there any programmers you can buy that can calculate mpg in real time? It'd be a nice addition to my dash if there are any out there. I bought a superchips programmer but im returning it..

Check out UltraGuage. I have one for my 01' King Ranch and this little thing can tell you so much. I've had it for a almost a year now and love it.

Scan gauge http://www.scangauge.com
I would guess ultra gauge does the same thing.

I think there is an option in my Edge CS but there are more important things to monitor, IMO. Volts, trans temp, coolant temp, etc.

Edge CS and CTS models can do that I know and pretty sure the Bullydog GT can as well.

SCT and Superchips models do not.

If all you want is to monitor real time MPG, I bought a $10 OBD2 bluetooth transmitter and use an app called Dash on my phone.
There is always Torque Pro and others that will do the same things.

If you're really interested in the integration, I recently removed the factory radio and installed a tablet in it's place. DASH runs on that tablet and I get real time info there.

Don't forget to do some life cycle costs on those $300-$400 tuners. Depending on how long you think your truck is going to last, it might not even pay for itself when you think about it. I found that it would take four years to pay off with a 1 mpg increase.
