98 F150 XLT
Above the airbag. There are four relays under it. What are they for ? Also, there is a vent looking thing on the panel and what looks to be like a chime under it. What is that doohicky ?

Those are for DRL, Key Fob Functions (horn, panic, perimeter lighting) etc.

 

Please don't tell me you are seeing the airbag component and think its a chime, I would be very cautious around that and not touch it???

Cool. Now I know those vents on the access panel are for the sound of the "whoosh" noise before the airbag rearranges my face, .
Well, have no daytime running lights, I think my Key Fob is after market.
I was too stupid and unplugged the damn "idiot detector". Good thing curiosity did not kill this "cool cat", .
Live and learn. I am glad I have y'all watching my back, .

If you lock your doors, then shut them and your headlights blink..... Those relays are important
