Again, I'm sure this has been discussed but the lack of a working search function has me asking a question. In my 03, the display overhead only gives me my direction of travel, even though it has a select button. Is this normal?

 

Do you have the auto climate control?

Mine is an 03 XLT and gives me the direction and outside temperature. The select button changes it from °F to °C.

 

My outside temp is located below the radio, maybe it is only supposed to give me direction

 

That's what I'm thinking too because my crown vic has the auto climate control and it shows the outside temp on the climate control screen

 

Yes your overhead will only display the direction if you have the temp down below.

 

Same here, I got FX4 Lariat and my overhead shows direction only because my climate control shows my outside temperature... it's weird having a useless button. Lol.

 

I have a 03 FX4 w/ Eatc,the overhead button is used for zone calibration for the compass.Check your owners manual on how to calibrate it.Mine was in the wrong zone.

 

Mine sometimes says "ice" any ideas? In park or while driving it does it. Doesn't have to be below 32 out either. Said it this morning when it was like 42 out.
