Spark plug history ?

Which state are you in, they may have switched to winter gas if your from a cold climate.

florida, the plugs seems to have a little life left but not much, also how do u use a timing light

Timing lights can't really be used on modern distributorless ignition systems as everything is controlled by the PCM. You can't adjust it without taking the front cover off the engine. To use a timing light you need a distributor that you can move to either advance on retard timing depending on the marks on the crank pulley. I don't think fords triton motors ever had marks

They don't even have timing marks for a timing light on the crank pulley, nor is there a marker mounted. I think that my Autel scanner will tell you the timing via the ECU though.

on my scanner it tells me that the timing is 15 at idle, idk if thats what yall are talkin about but is that right, does it mean its in time correctly

That's good, but which plugs are you using, how many miles do you have on them ??

How did you determine they have a little left on them ?

15 to 16 BTDC is base timing on the 4.6

they are the motorcraft sp493, i pulled them and they were all kinda brown and dingy in color, i guess carbon buildup maybe, just scrubbed em off and put em back in
