Ok so my headlights are pretty yellow now, of course the truck is a 97 model. So at first i was gonna just restore them using one of the howto threads on here. But i think now since i want to get rid of the amber corner lights i may just go ahead and buy some new ones. I was orgianally wanting the all clear ones but i saw where they have the smoked as well. I dont want projectors or anything like that because i like a simple clean look and projectors are a little to busy for my taste. But I cant seem to decide which id rather have the smoked or clear. Id like some thoughts on the matter and any pictures of the two would be welcome. Its a red 97 Reg cab xl bone stock other than the tires and windows being tinted.

IMO Lightening heads and corners look pretty good on most any 97-03 F150. The little amber that is on the bottom of the corners really doesn't take away anthing from it I think. Here's what my red truck looks like with them:

Ebay, look up F150 headlights.. they have some sweet headlights for our trucks.. clear looks good, or blacked out.. Up to you, I could give more opinions if you had a picture of your truck to look at.

Just so you know, some of the first 97s had a different header panel than the later 97-03s. I found out the hard way after ordering headlights and found that they didn't fit. If your's has buckets that hold the headlight and corner together, then you're going to need to get lights specific for that, or swap the header panel out to a newer style. I swapped mine and had to shave a small piece of fiberglass to get it to fit.

Thanks for the tip about the headlights on the 97. I've looked through all the different headlights on eBay and other places and I like just the factory looking housing just minus those amber corners. The lightning lights do look good though. I put a pic of the truck too. I'm still thinking I like the clear the best with maybe a hid kit down the road. I'm assuming they make em for my truck

Don't let the people tell you that HID's don't look good in non projector headlights. I have them in my stock headlights and they are awesome.

I can take a picture tonight and show you. The ones I have are really poor quality right now.
