Default One final issue

So, heres the story, i was originally planning on selling my truck and motorcycle for a silverado, but my girlfriends dad has an 04 silverado that is lifted and everything and he said hed just give it to me and let me keep my truck or sell it for more important stuff. So now im gonna adress the few last issues on my truck and then i think shell finally run like a top, so i replaced the intake manifold gasket and the low idle went away for the most part, but i have a slight miss and sluggish acceleration, so i inspected it, and part of the gasket ripped, its sticking out of the intake manifold, and im also thinking my knock sensor could be bad, so i a question, when i go to look st the knock sensor, should i replace it. or could i just leave it unplugged

the symptoms you are explaining are common when a knock sensor is bad.
when i go to look st the knock sensor, should i replace it
i would go ahead and replace it if you have the money. it won't be pleasant to drive the way it is now
or could i just leave it unplugged
no. doing that can have long term affects on the engine if there is a lot of pre-ignition

With your history.... sure just unplug it. Not like Ford engineers designed it and put it on your truck for a reason. Just make sure if you unplug it and during that time it's running rough, that you just keep driving it, nothing bad will happen...

But then when it's sitting at a mechanics getting fixed and they are almost done you can ask them to replace the knock sensor because you unplugged it...
