Default Oil leak from filter- is this a common problem?

Just saw this, not sure where is leaking from yet. Wondering if it's common on the 5.4?
Trying to post pics...

Oil filter adapter gasket or oil pressure sender unit would be my wild guesses.

Is it easy to get in there and replace it?

I'd clean it up first to be sure. Use degreaser and brake cleaner. I've never done an adapter before. Service says to remove the front axle. Iduno about that, check it out, sometimes there's an easier way with the right tools. Anyway , I'll post the Ford RR, -

But like JCR posted, make definitely sure that's what is leaking, it is not a common leak.

It's not the sending unit, looks like it is the gasket, or possibly something above the oil filter adapter. Really hard to see, steering box is in the way. But it is seeping down along the motor, right at the oil filter adapter.
Doesn't look like it's going to be easy getting in there.

Mine was leaking really bad when I bought my truck and I was able to find several Threads on the topic. I'd say it common enough. It's a messy but easy fix.

I read the threads, didn't know you could pull the wheel off and get in there. Hopefully, it won't be too bad.

What a PITA!!!!
Tried doing this tonight after work, couldn't get to hardly any of those bolts, let alone taking off the power radiator hose. Might just take it in to some mechanic.

I did it on the first cold day of winter, on my back without a mat. You can do it. You just have to keep at it.
