Default Offset Question

Probably a dumb question but when I bought my truck it came with a set of no name wheels wrapped in a 305/75r16 Bridgestone tire, my question is how do I figure out the offset on the wheels. They stick out a good bit and I'm just trying to get an idea if I need to get a larger or smaller offset when I purchase my new set of wheels here soon. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Yall

take the wheel off and measure from hub to the rim lip on the back side.. this will give you the backspacing then take the width of the wheel half it this wil give you the center line and then minus the backspacing from the center point of the wheel

if you have a 4.5" backspace that is 114.3MM
you have a 9" wide wheel that is 228.6MM divide that by two is 114.3MM
so your wheels are +/- 0 offset

is you have a 4.5" backspace that is 114.3MM
say you have a 10" wide wheel that is 254MM divide by 2 and yyou have 127MM
so your wheels are -12.7MM

if i am not mistaken...
someone please correct me if i am wrong

hope this helps!

also google can be you best friend.. https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html
