Default Bumper pad

My 97 XLT is really in excellent shape especially for its age. I've already painted all the plastic and she's looking good. Except the front bumper pad. It looks like the clearcoat is coming off. I was wondering if its something I can repaint and get it to match the rest of the black paint so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb??

Did you clearcoat it to help it match better?

Paint it black but always clear coat it, unless you want white specs on your bumper from rock marks chipping off the black paint. Even with multiple coats, it will happen without clear coat
