True, the honeycomb grill does not interfere much with light output but the bar grill would (unless you were doing a LED light bar and spaced it to shine between the bars).

Mounted there is harder to steal than just sitting on a bull bar or on bumper. Behind the grill requires the hood to be opened, which makes it that much less of a crime of opportunity, plus they are not seen as easily for a thief to know they are there. Sure if they want them they will get them.

i agree with the part of them being harder for the criminal to see, but if he really wanted to, the thief could just yank that honeycomb grill and take those lights, but then again that thief needs to be really confident in his thievery skills haha

See,I look at it the same way as a locked door. If its unlocked, someone may walk in and take **** when they wouldn't kick it in. Same with lights,if they're out in the open "well they won't miss them" vs destroying the grill to get them.

Then you have the flip side where someone breaks your window and unlocks the vehicle but doesn't take anything. I have had that happen before

I wanna see if I can mount a bar in my lower valence. Not sure how hard its gonna be. I can't mount it behind the grill because I'm putting a grill cover on to help my truck warm up when it gets down to -40F. I'd rather not get a bull bar to mount them on either because I like having the tow hooks on the front in case I need to pull someone out. Kinda running out of ideas.

Think about it in a realistic situation,if a kid sees the lights on your bumper "hey man I can ****** these" behind the grill he probably wouldn't even think about it
