Odometer light Issue
I just did mine today. It took a couple of hours to take the dashboard apart, solder the two pins that were bad and reassemble it. I have zero experience soldering. The odometer is now illuminated and I have no issues left to fix.
In the near future, I'll be checking out new tires. I'm thinking the General Grabber AT2 that was posted in another thread. I like the look and they've gotten good reviews.

It is done and the odometer works. The isolated pin was the problem. This is the same pin in the video. There appeared to be a circular crack around it. I used a 15 to 30 watt soldering iron (15 watt setting) that I purchased at radio shack and 62/36/2 rosin core solder to perform the repair. The solder diameter was 0.022".
I would again like to thank everyone for their help
