Having a starting issue. I've replaced the starter after having problems in May. Now it's back. Had the starter and battery checked. All's good. Replaced the starter relay and still nothing. After I replaced the starter in May it worked for 3 months and then acted up again. It doesn't turn over at all and just makes a loud clunk when I turn the key. Don't know what else it could be. Any ideas?

 

im currently having a similar issue on my 01. except every time i go to diag it the problem fixes it self before i have a chance to do a full diag. im still hoping to prove out the neutral saftey switch, but usually when it happens im not in a position to diag. i usually will just put key in on position and jump across starter relay with jumpers. not a fix i know but it will get you going rather then tow or stranded. mine is very intermittant and hasnt happened in a few months... all i can tell for sure is that it is a control side issue.

 

I think my starters bout ta go out on my 99 cuz a lot of times when I turn the key it makes a horrible grinding sound but I let off and it always cranks up 2nd time
