Does anybody run these longtubes? I have a 5.4 super crew and the guy selling them on eBay told me they only fit lightnings but I'm not sure if that's correct

They do make ones that fit 4x4 trucks (Lightenings have slightly different configuration for the headers due to the crossmembers). I ran OBX on my old truck and had no issues with them. I'd suggest using Ford OEM gaskets instead of the ones that come with it, and use Stage 8 locking studs. Just make sure to properly tuned for the long tubes.

Pacesetter makes a set for the 4.6. You can also modify the 5.4L headers to work but takes some craftiness.

I want those OBX headers also. I need to order some in the next couple of days. Im guessing they replace the front two cats? Is that what those resonator things with the holes in them are for?

I have the OBX headers on my '03 SCab with the 4.6L. The only issues it really has is that the starter pushes the headers out at the collector, causeing the header to have a gap at the passenger rear cylinder. I'm actually looking for someone to build me a 1/8"-1/4" spacerto fix it. Other than that they're great.

They do replace the cats with high-flows. They also have a kit that removes the cats all together. You will also have to extend your O2 sensor wires.

@Promillo - Depending on which year you have you might be able to fit most 5.4L headers as they are the same head bolt pattern.

Yes, one has cats the other has resonators (basically hollow cats.) If you get the kit with out cats you need to get your truck tuned to account for a cat deletion. Your O2 sensors will throw codes. Having the cats doesn't really change much you just need to make sure that you can legally run your truck without them.
