Default no start question?!

I went to start my truck Saturday and I turned the key and the truck would not start

all normal lights came on but the truck would just not do anything meaning no noises nothing
I sat there and just cycled the key on and off maybe 6-8 times and then it started perfectly normal?

my first thought was the ignition switch but I wanted your guys opinion first!!

thanks in advance

First I would check all the electrical connections. Battery and connections to starter and starter solenoid; clean them up if they are corroded and make sure they are tight.

Put in neutral and try starting next time. Mine does it every now and then. Battery full, connections are good. If i wiggle the shifter we are firing on all 8 cylinders in no time. Guessing neutral safety switch. Or a theft deterrent, however you look at it.
