I've got the general grabber at2 in a 265/70/16. Cost me 600 from tirerack.com. I love em. Got about 6000 on em right now with no signs of wear. They are a pretty aggressive look for an at tire and they ride great on the road with no road noise to speak of. They do pack mud pretty bad. So probably wouldn't be the best for any heavy offloading but they do ok for the occasional trip. They are a great in between tire I highly recommend them. It just depends on what your gonna use em for

I have always run Goodyear Wrangler RT/S 265/70R17's, but they no longer make them.

The front are still OK, the back are done for (gravel road, tire destroyed once put me off-kilter of having 4 matched)

TireRack has AT/S (RT/S) no longer available for $166 each, but the kicker is the $115 to ship 4 tires.

Thoughts on what to get?

Truck still runs good, have to add freon every year to A/C, mechanic has never been able to find the leak. Rust in right rear quarterpanel.

Hate to spend $750 on a truck with this many miles not knowing how many more miles are in it.

Thanks.

there pretty expensive but ive got a buddy with a cummins thats got them and they dont wear too bad and they have a ton of grip, and when hes tryin to pull someone the whole backend will hop before the tires lose grip. I dont think they would look that great on a stock height truck though, his had a 6in on it and looked badass

Depends on what tread you're looking for. You can always expect the more aggressive tires to wear quicker on the street. I recently installed a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers (A/T's) and am extremely happy with them.

The Nittos are great tires. I was able to get almost 50,000 miles on mine before I swapped to Mickey Thompson MTZs and surprisingly they are holding up very well. I have over 25,000 on them so far and the tread is still half or better. Although they are more aggressive I think they might beat out the Nittos with mileage in mind. The majority of my driving is done on road with off road use occasionally during hunting season.
