Try tightening up the rear linnings if they are drum brakes. ajust them till you just hear them slightly drag To kind of tell that the rear is out of ajustment step on the Park brake if it goes to the floor and does not hold , their problely out of ajustment. Also its sounds like your front rotors are worped this is probley due to the rear brakes being out of ajustment and the front brakes are doing all the work. As fare as brake pads (Performance friction carbin metallic) are the best as fare as I'm concerned and Bendixs rotors. find them on line or at a fleet pride.

I believe the Lariats had 4 wheel disk brakes. Adjusting the parking brakes will not help. Seems like you may have a leaking master cylinder.

Not sure what to recommend on rotors, but I think any high quality ceramic brake pad would work. Ceramic pads tend to have lower brake dust. I just installed a set of Wagner ThermoQuiet Ceramic Pads on my 03 SCrew and I couldn't be happier with their performance. Just my .02 cents.
