It's just oil residue from the PCV system. That's the plenum. You can remove the bulk of it, soak it up with paper towels, but the rest will just sit there doing nothing as air flows past it. Doesn't matter.

wound up using this fitting into the oil sending unit sensor location and injected oil though there. Hopefully that was a solution
