New crate swap
Hey guys doing a motor swap (5.4) on my 02 with a crate from powertrain products. Looking for information, advice , tips and tricks for this swap. Any recommendations for parts or sensors to swap while motor is out?Just looking for Any information that could be considered helpful.Second motor swap first was a junkyard swap that went fine but had oil pump failure 1 month later caused us to go this route.Information on plugs, coil packs, oil and filter for breakin process.
Can't be a new crate, that comes from the manufacturer, they haven't produced those for a long time. You can still get a Coyote. So I gather it's either remanufactured or rebuilt. You're most likley installing a reman....is that right ?
Why coil packs, the 5fours never used them? Did the truck you are installing the 5four in use to have a 4.6L ? That would be a good reason to use packs.
Helps to know this info up front if we are to help.

So already had another 5four in it, - realigned the exhaust manifolds, plumed in a ECT, mounts for the coil packs and perhaps lengthened the IAT harness (not sure if that will reach) ...that much is done ?
