Can't be a new crate, that comes from the manufacturer, they haven't produced those for a long time. You can still get a Coyote. So I gather it's either remanufactured or rebuilt. You're most likley installing a reman....is that right ?

Why coil packs, the 5fours never used them? Did the truck you are installing the 5four in use to have a 4.6L ? That would be a good reason to use packs.

Helps to know this info up front if we are to help.

Yes sir, a Reman to be specific. And ypu are correct about original motor being 4.6, hence why the coil packs

So already had another 5four in it, - realigned the exhaust manifolds, plumed in a ECT, mounts for the coil packs and perhaps lengthened the IAT harness (not sure if that will reach) ...that much is done ?

Can be done but I don't think it would last very long.

Which tune are you using, 4six, 5four or custom?

You can replace as much or as little as you want to.

You need to follow whatever break in instructions that are required for your warranty.
