Default needs some help

guys i need some help...i want to change the fluid in my transmission what kind of fluid should i buy...btw i do have a 99 f150 xl 5spd...i was told mercon autotransmission would work but im not for sure..any help would be helpful

the best way to do it is bring it to a shop and have a full tranny flush!! that way every ounce of old fluid is drained and is completely topped off with new fluid!!

i kno but i dnt wanna pay for that plus i work at a body shop and a guy from work is gnna help me i was jw what kind of fluid i would need

when I did mine I asked the auto parts store and they told me the kind and how many quarts.I bought 1 more just to be safe.
