Needing new shocks
So it's time to replace my shocks on the truck. Wondering what everyone uses for aftermarket shocks????
Let me know what you prefer.
Thanks!

I have Edelbrock IAS on mine. They were on it when I bought it and I like the ride.
Considering my old truck was an F250, the 150 rides like a Lincoln.....
I'm thinking about replacing the shocks since they have quite a few miles on them.
I'm probably going to go with something else though, but only because of the price.
I just can't stomach $100+ per shock.
Thinking about Bilsteins, but they are a bit pricey as well.
I have Monroe Gas Magnums on the F250, and they have gone 100K+ miles......

How many miles do you have on your truck? I just bought a 99 F250 LD with 93k miles, i don't know if the shocks have ever been replaced, but my ride feels bouncey. How do I tell when its time to replace them?

It's safe to say that with 93k, you need shocks if they haven't be replaced. You'll be surprised about how much better your truck will ride!

Is there any way to tell if my shocks are the original factory ones or if they have been replaced? If I recall they are just plain black, my guess is they are original. What do you recommend to replace them with? Do I need heavier duty shocks since I have a 250 light duty, versus the 150?
