Exclamation Need suggestions!!

i have recently purchased a 2000 4x4 f-150 xlt 7700 and would like to add a lift and 35 inch tires. what would be my best option considering i am 17 and have a limited budget. I would like a 3 or 4 inch lift with 35 inch off road tires, any suggestions on what would work best?

Add a leaf and crank your torsion bars you could get out for less than 250 for a lift and whatever you wanted to do for tires that would be the money right there

I know your not asking me but just so you understand a body lift is a very time consuming process and I don't recommend it unless you have access to a lift

You're looking at anywhere from 200-300 bucks for a 3" bl. Depending on brand.

Well if you think you can tackle it yourself separating the cab from the frame putting in body mounts and making sure everything goes back and extending lines if need be then it's like 200-400 dollars or the lift

My advice is doing an add a leaf you can find them on eBay rough country amazon basically anywhere

That will give you about 2.5-3 inches of lift and you can level that out with your STOCK KEYS I stress this because if your truck is a 4x4 it has a torsion bar and the stock keys can be adjusted just as far as aftermarket ones so there really is no need to waste money

I don't recommend the body lift or just a plain old block in the rear in my PERSONAL experience it makes the truck buck like a bronco very stiff suspension

I would do a body lift if your investing in a fab tech suspension lift and with that about 3000k invested just in the lift

I've heard good things about www.treadwright.com
They are retreaded tires some people swear by them I'm not telling you either way but I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE IF YOU ARE DOING A LOT OF HIGHWAY DRIVING highways make tires hot and the hot retreads have a Better chance of blowing out on the subject I've never heard a terrible thing about BFG atko or nitro terra grapplers seem to have a good rep and also general grabber at2 I had toyo open country 33x12.5x16 and they were a great tire im going for some nittos next

This is all just my opinion but just so you know there is a search function and for the most part there is a slim to none chance somebody has already asked the question your about to ask and I would also recommend the search bar to learn as well but feel free to ask questions that's the beauty of the forum

So a body lift doesn't retain stock ride quality? I didn't think it stiffend the suspension like torsion bar cranking. I'm wondering cause I want to do this but I want a nice riding truck.
