Hey everyone,
I joined a few weeks back after getting my truck.I have been trying to sort out the previous owners work performed and tell what all had been done to the truck.Torsion screws are bottomed out and im not a fan of that type of work as it places the suspension geometry in a bad way.So I will return it back to stock till I can decide on a manufacturer to use for properly raising the front without binding the torsion bars and compromising the suspension geometry.
I bought my 02 Screw FX4 and it was already sitting level.Previous owner stated it had a 2.5 leveling lift placed on it.Now,I have no other stock screw fx4 to compare it to and im needing you great people to let me know what the factory center wheel/hub to center wheel arch measurement is front and back if anyone has a stock set up they can measure for me.I am also attaching a picture of the rear level block/bump stop block and needing to know if the small plate with the arrow is a factory plate or an addition.I have looked for a week or so straight online with no luck,so I am reaching out to the brethren. Thanks Fellas!

I don't have a screw and I'm not much help. But this looked interesting. Mine is stock too and sits pretty level. I don't like the torsion crank lift either. I want my lift to be professional. My truck has that plate from what I can tell. I'm not sure what my measurements are, they probably wouldn't help you. However maybe yours has new shocks or something? Other people may be sagging a little from worn out suspensions. That can be a factor of the size of each truck
Some trucks have a additional spring plate. My truck had them on the stock springs. As far as leveling a screw cranking the torsion bars is the only way to do it. Aftermarket keys make the suspension geometry even worse. Safe height on the front ende is 24.25 from the center of the hub to the edge of the fender flare.

Could you not just buy a leveling kit? Them it's guaranteed and will sill ride like stock. Rough country has some good ones for the money. Never mind. I don't have one. I could have sworn I had one!

I found your great information in a thread, stating the 24.25 and I am at 23.75 now.Factory keys cracked and it rides like poo poo.If it sat at 23 it would bring the axle more in alignment which is what I am after. So I have the Truxxx 2-3 Keys sitting in a box.According to truxxx and my understanding, the Physical Height and shape of the new key and the new indexing of the torsion bar cut out in the new key will allow me to retain my factory torsion bar indexing and alignment which will remove the pogo stick ride and put me at 23 from center hub to center fender. This will be just below level, nose down,on the truck which is what I am after, because towing my Victory in its enclosed trailer leaves it looking nose high.Since it will still at 23 extend the shock a hair,I have made flat steel washers 2 inch x 2inch x.5 inch to give me back the amount of shock stroke I would lose by raising the front and at the same time I would be placing other front end components back into a safer zone and hopefully still fitting my 305/70/17 Grapplers.
