Turn the switch to full on, and pull. The switch will pop off, then turn it 180 degrees around, put it back on, and turn again. And the whole switch should come out.

That will take the whole switch out. Pop it off, turn it around, and turn and the whole switch will come off. Then just disconnect the connectors at the back and it's totally out.

Nope, on the 97-99 it is easy just turn the dial to ON, then push something small under the switch to pop the **** off. Turn the **** 180 degrees so it is pointing the opposite direction from ON and then push it in. After that just turn it to the OFF position and while holding the switch in the OFF position pull on the whole assembly. It will come out with a little force but it will come out. On the 00-03 you need to slip a flat head screw driver in the little slot above the switch body and pry on it a little and it will pop out.

This is why most salvage yards do not sell the switches because most of the time the yard guys think it is like chevys and dodges and try to pry them out and end up breaking them to bits.
