Default Need some 5.4 help.

Morning all,
My little brother just got him self a new truck, well new to him. A 2000 F 150 screw. 5.4 with 158,000 miles. Its a good looking truck. He called me last night and said it wont stay running, that he has to keep his foot in it for it to stay running. No check engin light, When he pulls up to a stop light it will die and have a hard time starting. Anyone ever had this problem? Any idea what im getting myself into when i head down there to give him a hand?

Remove it, I used throttle body cleaner. Spray it, let it sit on there. I used a soft wire brush and lightly brushed it. Then spray it clean.

Pull it out... Spray it with throttle body cleaner... And wipe it off... It can also be a cloged fule fliter too... Or bad spark plugs...

I told him to check the fuel filter last night he said it was fine, He could blow in it no problem. I would never dare tell him the pull a plug, he a good plumber not a mechanic. I would be pulling a broken this weekend insted of fishing.
